To read files with a .pdf extension it requires Acrobat Reader, a free,
one-time downloaded program  that won't goof up your system. 

To download click on your operating system below and
follow directions (If offered, "Toolbar" & "Photoshop" are not necessary)

Macintosh (Click on Acrobat Reader for Macintosh - All Languages)
Windows (Click on Acrobat Reader for Windows - All Languages)
UNIX (Click on Acrobat Reader for UNIX - English)
Other Platforms (Look in lower right corner for "More Information" on
OS, Pocket PC and Palm OS)
